Air flow management is an integral part in recovering from a mold event and must be evaluated based on the condition of the loss.
- By managing air flow within an affected structure, contamination, odor, mold spores, dust and debris can be controlled in and outside the work areas
- Although technical, air quality is regulated by HEPA filtration, measured exhaust, negative or positive pressure and the utilization of air movement and HEPA Air Scrubbing equipment
- During the lifecycle of a project, filters within these machines are inspected and replaced as needed. Some phases will require that filters are changed multiple times a day
- When placing containment and monitoring air flow, these two practices work in tandem to protect and allow for additional emergency services work such as water and flood recovery
- A final phase inspection will be conducted to confirm that the required equipment is set, air is exhausted correctly, electrical requirements have been met and all air flow can be controlled and observed throughout the project
